Folks, an unfortunate update regarding Goathead Pickering Party.

I have been under the weather for the past couple of days and would hate to share this bug with our picking crew. I’m canceling our event on Saturday at Liberty Park, so I can stay home and rest up.

If you’re still eager to get out in the community and knock out some nutlets for Team Pickering, you can weigh your haul at North End Organic Nursery and add your count to “Alexis Pickering”. Send me pictures of your cleanup efforts so I can share and cheer you on!

Why goatheads? These invasive vines produce a spikey nutlet that deflates bike tires, injures feet, and pricks paws. Rooting out these perilous puncture vines helps folks of all ages on their way to work, school, and play.

Join us at Liberty Park in Boise for a morning "pickering" session! We'll bring the treats and drinks, just swing on by in closed-toe shoes and a pair of heavy-duty gloves. Together, we can and keep Ada County moving.
